How Much Does a Varanasi Trip Really Cost in 2026?

A real, honest breakdown of what a private car, a Sāthi, temple darshan, a boat ride and everything else actually costs in Varanasi — and where package pricing beats booking it all separately.

Why "it depends" isn't a good enough answer

Search for Varanasi trip costs and you'll mostly find vague ranges pulled from nowhere in particular. That's partly because prices genuinely vary by hotel and season, but it's also because a lot of what a trip actually costs — the car, the guide, temple queues, the boat — gets negotiated on the spot, in cash, differently for every traveler. We think that's the real problem, not the variation in hotels.

So here's what we actually charge, itemized, for the parts of a trip we run ourselves: private car and driver, a dedicated Sāthi (your one point of contact for the whole trip), temple darshan, boat rides, shopping, and day trips to Sarnath, Ramnagar or Chunar. This doesn't include your hotel, which we help arrange separately once you've booked.

The building blocks, priced individually

If you booked each part of a Varanasi day separately, here's roughly what it costs with us:

ServicePrice
Chauffeured car (pickup, drop, 10 hrs, up to 4 people)₹2,599 / day
Private guide (Sāthi)₹1,399 / day
Boat ride (Bajra, with Ganga Aarti)₹3,599 / ride
Shopping at partnered stores₹699 / visit
Sarnath, Ramnagar & Chunar (each; 10% off if all 3)₹999 each
Private family pooja at the ghat₹4,999

Full, current pricing — including the double-decker boat and all add-ons — is always on our Individual Services page, since prices there update independently of this post.

What a 5-day trip costs, added up piece by piece

Say you want roughly what our Kin package covers: 5 days with a car and Sāthi, temple darshan across most of those days, one boat ride with Aarti, a shopping stop, and a day trip to Sarnath or Ramnagar. Booked entirely à la carte, that looks like this:

ItemCalculationCost
Car, 5 days₹2,599 × 5₹12,995
Sāthi, 5 days₹1,399 × 5₹6,995
Temple darshan, 4 days₹1,399 × 4₹5,596
Boat ride with Aarti×1₹3,599
Shopping visit×1₹699
Sarnath or Ramnagar day trip×1₹999
Total, booked à la carte₹30,883

The same 5 days, 4 nights, with the same inclusions plus three more temples and 24/7 medical help on call, is ₹24,999 flat as our Kin package — for 1 to 4 travelers, not per person. That's around ₹5,900 less than assembling it piece by piece, before you even count the extra temples and the 24/7 medical cover.

This isn't an accident or a discount trick — it's simply how package pricing works once you build it around real costs instead of marking up an already-inflated à la carte rate. We price our à la carte menu slightly above what the same service costs inside a package, on purpose, so the incentive to book a package is always real.

Our three packages, at a glance

PackageLengthPrice
Darshan1 Day₹4,399 flat
Kashi3 Days, 2 Nights₹16,999 flat
Kin5 Days, 4 Nights₹24,999 flat

All three are flat prices for 1 to 4 travelers sharing the same car and Sāthi — not per person, and not something that creeps up once you've already committed.

What isn't included, in any of the above

We keep it this way deliberately — bundling accommodation would mean marking up hotel prices we don't control, and we'd rather you book your stay directly and know exactly what you paid for it.

See which package fits your trip

Or build it yourself from individual services if you'd rather pick exactly what you need.
