Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Kashi & Kin collects when you use our website or book a service with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — no legal jargon for its own sake.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

• When you sign in. If you sign in with Google (for your account or to book), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We don't see or store your Google password.
• When you book or enquire. Name, phone number, WhatsApp number, gender, age, arrival date, and number of passengers travelling, along with any notes you share about your trip or requirements.
• When you pay. Payments are handled by a licensed third-party payment processor. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our own servers.
• Automatically. Basic technical information (like which pages you visit) may be collected through tools such as Google Search Console and, once installed, Google Analytics, to help us understand how the site is used.

2. How we use your information

• To plan, confirm, and deliver your booking — coordinating your Sāthi, driver, hotel, and other arrangements.
• To contact you about your trip by phone, WhatsApp, or email.
• To keep a record of your booking history and payments for our own accounting.
• To improve the website and our services.
• To meet legal or regulatory requirements where applicable.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with marketers.

3. Who we share it with

Who	Why
Google (Firebase Authentication)	To let you sign in securely with your Google account.
Our payment processor	To process payments when you pay for a booking online.
Our booking partners (hotels, boat operators, drivers)	Only the details needed to deliver the specific part of your trip they're responsible for — for example, your name and arrival date for a hotel booking.
Our hosting provider (Hostinger)	To store our website and database securely.

We don't share more information than is needed for each of these purposes, and we don't share your data with anyone outside of what's listed above without telling you.

4. Where your data is stored

Your booking and account information is stored in our database, hosted with Hostinger. Authentication information (your Google sign-in) is managed by Firebase, a Google service.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your booking and account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting, tax, and record-keeping purposes as required under Indian law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see Section 7.

6. Cookies

Our website may use basic cookies or similar technology to keep you signed in and to understand site usage through analytics tools. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Show you the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any information that's inaccurate
• Delete your information, subject to any legal or accounting record-keeping requirements

8. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults booking travel, including on behalf of family members and children travelling with them. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including secure database access and encrypted sign-in through Firebase. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
